It is a washer that restricts exhaust. I know the LT 80 has both the washer as well as a carb restrictor. My son got his first quad (LTA50) this past christmas, but has already moved up to the Kawasaki KFX80 (Suzuki LT80). It seems to be a great quad for his riding skill level.
